Dunfermline Abbey, located in the town of Dunfermline in Fife, Scotland, is a site of significant historical and architectural importance. Founded in 1128 by King David I, the Abbey has served as a place of worship, a royal mausoleum, and a symbol of Scottish heritage.

- Historical Significance: Dunfermline Abbey has been the final resting place of many Scottish monarchs, including Saint Margaret of Scotland, King David I, and Robert the Bruce, whose tomb lies beneath the Abbey’s pulpit. The nave, with its distinctive Norman pillars, is one of the most well-preserved Romanesque structures in Scotland.
